The Sook Village team comprises dedicated friends and families from local villages, with most members residing in or near Sook Village. We strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring your stay feels as comfortable as visiting friends or family. Though we did not set out to become a conventional hotel, our focus remains on providing a relaxing, joyful experience—a true home away from home.
While we do not offer 24/7 reception services, our staff is available daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. to assist you with any needs you may have. If you require daily cleaning, please inform us upon check-in or in the morning; we value your privacy and will only enter your accommodation with your consent.
Jungle
Experience
Situated just 2 kilometres from the centre of Nongkhiaw village along the main road, our accommodation offers a serene riverside setting amidst the jungle.
Guests may encounter local wildlife, including insects, geckos, frogs, snakes, or mice; we encourage all visitors to assess their comfort with natural surroundings prior to booking. Our aim is to deliver an authentic Lao village ambiance with a high standard of comfort.
Location
Sook Village is located 125 kilometres from Luang Prabang International Airport. Due to road conditions, travel time may exceed four hours. Conveniently situated just two kilometres from Nongkhiaw, Sook Village offers a shuttle service providing transportation to the centre of Nongkhiaw in approximately five minutes.
The shuttle facilitates drop-off and pick-up at the Nongkhiaw Bridge, where visitors will find shops, restaurants, and ATMs. Additionally, Sook Village grants easy access to several trekking routes, all reachable within a five-minute walk or a brief shuttle ride.
Weather
Kindly be aware that from December to February, nighttime temperatures in Nongkhiaw may drop significantly. It is recommended to bring appropriate clothing to ensure your comfort during this period.

WIFI
Reliable WIFI is available in both our restaurant and the Teak House near the creek.
Due to the large size of our property, with guest cottages spread over 4 hectares, providing comprehensive coverage across the entire resort is an ongoing challenge. We are actively working to improve in-room connectivity for all our guests.
Status Update: We have partnered with a new provider to install an upgraded system within the next 4–8 weeks. We appreciate your patience as we source specialized equipment from overseas.
